Beginning his fourth year as a part-time member of the parish staff, Don spent 16 years as the Director of Religious Education and Safe Environment Coordinator at Our Lady of Grace Parish in the South Hills. Prior to his time at OLG, Don taught 7th/8th grade history and religion at the Catholic Academy of West Buffalo in the Diocese of Buffalo and spent six years as a college baseball coach at The Catholic University of America, the University of Maryland, Georgetown University, and Niagara University. He taught 9th & 10th grade theology at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School (2019-20) and served as a long-term sub, teaching 11th grade morality at Seton LaSalle High School (Spring 2021).
He holds an M.S. in Secondary Education from Niagara University and has completed 16 classes towards an M.A. in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Don serves as the Director of Adult Formation at St. Paul of the Cross Parish in the South Hills and resides in the North Hills with his wife and six children. His family are parishioners at St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church on the North Side.
