Little Italy Days in Bloomfield are August 15, 16, 17 & 18. We, as the Catholic presence in Bloomfield, hold a prominent spot and would like to make sure our presence is very visible. This is a big event not only for Bloomfield but also for our parish. A lot of planning has taken place and what is needed is lots of volun-teers to make the fundraising and outreach efforts happen. Volunteers are needed to both staff the Food Booth in the front of St. Joseph church as well as to carry the food and supplies from Immaculate Conception Mission to keep the Food Booth well stocked. Volunteers are also needed to sell pull tabs on the street, the help greet folks who come to see the church and also to assist with the Flea Market, which will take place in the basement of St Joseph church. There is more about the Fleas Market below. Please take time to begin signing up to help with Little Italy Days. FLEA MARKET ITEMS NEEDED Saint Maria Goretti Parish will once again have a flea market in the Social Hall of Saint Joseph Church during Little Italy Days – August 15 – 18. As you are cleaning out your attic, garage and other special places, please put items aside to donate to the flea market. Donations can be dropped off ONLY at Saint Joseph Social Hall on Friday, August 9th, from 3:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, August 10th, from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00.p.m. We do NOT take clothing, food, or electronics. This is a fun and profitable activity during these Days.
